FM PT48 on "Spectrum aspects for Broadband Direct-Air-to-Ground Communications (DA2GC) systems" |

FM48 held its last meeting on 15-16 March 2011 in Mainz.
WGFM decided in February 2011 in Luxembourg that FM48 should:
a) provide additional information to WGSE to support the studies on the bandsa as mentioned in the liaison from WGFM to WGSE;
b) further discuss candidate bands, also with the aim to achieve a prioritisation.
Contributions to FM48 with regard to these tasks are appreciated and expected.
The frequency bands primarily under investigation for DA2GC systems are:
3400-3600 MHz
2400-2483.5 / 5855-5875 MHz
1670-1675 MHz / 1800-1805 MHz
FM48 has sent a liaison letter to WGSE requesting studies and providing additional information on DA2GC systems.
The next meeting is on September 15-16, 2011 in Maisons-Alfort (near Paris), collocated with the new PT SE44 staged during the same week at the same venue on September 13-14, 2011 (pending final confirmation).
