General Information

The European Radiocommunications Office is organizing at ERO premises on 31 August - 1 September 2009 the CEPT Seminar & Training Session on Impact Assessment (IA) to add the smooth implementation of IA in the work of the CEPT Electronic Communications Committee (ECC). This event was endorsed by the ECC at its meeting in Vienna 9-13 March 2009.
The overall objective of this seminar and the training session is to share the already gained experiences with IA within CEPT administrations as well as providing to the participants more profound understanding of the IA methodology based on the ECC Report 125 ‘Guidelines for the implementation of impact assessment in relation to spectrum matters’ accompanied by a number of IA case studies where participants will get some hands-on experience with IA.

This seminar and the training session is primarily organized for the specialists from the CEPT administrations who are expected to support the ECC decision making process by producing IAs, as necessary. These people should preferably, but not necessarily, be involved in their national administrations in the work related to the defining strategy of frequency spectrum use, including market and other relevant (e.g. social, environmental) issues.
The event should be in particular considered for participation by the chairmen of the ECC entities who will be responsible for managing the integration of IAs component in the technical/regulatory work in their groups.

Participation in the event is free of charge and open to CEPT administrations. However, prior registration is required for admittance to the event.
Deadline for registration is 24 August 2009 on a ‘first come-first served’ basis. Registration will be closed when the room capacity is reached.
