An ETSI standard, EN 301 160 (“Routeing of calls to European Telephony Numbering Space services”), governs the arrangements for routing calls to ETNS numbers. EN 301 160 specifies:
- the routing methods used in implementing the ETNS
- the alternative structures of routing numbers
- addressing between networks
- how routing of calls to ETNS Numbers within Europe, to and from Europe, and through Europe takes place.
