Serving Networks play an important role in the carriage of calls to ETNS numbers. Proposals have been made for different approaches to implementing the role of Serving Network, either as a single operator handling a given call to an ETNS numbers, or as multiple operators handling a call.

You may download a paper, entitled “ETNS Serving Network Role”, which describes these two models and proposes implementation of the single operator model.
