FM PT 24 - Preparations for RRC 04/05

 

The WGFM is the leading CEPT/ECC working group responsible for regulatory and technical preparations for RRC04/05 (which includes the revision of the Stockholm Agreement (1961)). The FM24 has been assigned the followint tasks.

  • development of the harmonized CEPT views concerning planning for digital broadcasting (DVB-T and T-DAB),
  • development of the CEPT contributions to ITU TG 6-8, development of the planning criteria and planning method(s) as well as the procedures for transition from analogue to all-digital future
  • consideration of the sharing and compatibility issues relevant for CEPT preparations for the RRC04/05
  • preparatory planning exercises for CEPT countries, including data collection and development of the planning tools,
  •  preparation of the draft ECPs and CEPT Briefs on the agenda items of RRC04/05 for approval by WGFM
  • to monitor and disseminate information concerning the state of implementation of DVB-T and T-DAB in the CEPT countries in the bands relevant for the RRC04/05
  • to co-operate with the EBU and other relevant international groups and regional organisations, as appropriate, on the above mentioned items

Working Group RRC-06 is now responsible for the preparation of RRC-06. The first meeting of the Working Group RRC-06 was 20-21 September 2004 in Budapest.
